Jarrow Formulas Extra Virgin Organic Kokosolie uit het verse vruchtvlees van de kokospalm, (Cocos nucifera) is ongeraffineerd en koudgeperst in een gecontroleerde, binnenomgeving. Dit specifieke proces maakt geen gebruik van chemische oplosmiddelen en behoudt de vluchtige verbindingen die verantwoordelijk zijn voor het bijbrengen van de rijke, vertrouwde smaak van kokosnoten. Kokosolie is een bron van medium chain triglyceriden (MCT's), zoals laurinezuur (C- ) en caprylic acid (C-8).

Coconut oil is stable even during long periods of storage. Because its melting point is 75-76°F, coconut oil can be used in both liquid or solid forms of cooking and baking.
